Such a letdown!. Ate at this restaurant with my daughter and we ordered the $39.95 for two deal. You get soup, appetizer, entree and dessert. Soup was fantastic, dumplings were the best I ever had. Then came the entree...I had crispy honey shrimp. My daughter had crispy honey chicken. I could not stand to even look at the "rice sticks" on my plate because they reminded me too much of the worms that you might see somebody eat on one of those "I dare you to eat it" shows or worse like the maggots you would expect to see on something rotten. Grossed me completely out and I couldn't finish the shrimp which was not bad alone but the brown rice was completely tasteless. Maybe that was the point with that rice, I don't know, I just know I left almost of my entree on my plate and my daughter did as well. The mini dessert was good but unfortunately my chocolate cake tasted like something that had sat in the fridge way too long. This was just so dissappointing and I was very close to refusing to pay the $50 for the meal but I just chalked it to a moderately expensive lesson learned. Never again would I ever step foot in a P.F. Chang's.
Great food as always. Everytime that I have a chance I like to eat at PF Changs. Always good food, quick service and a friendly staff.
This gussied-up chain bustles with singles and families craving Chinese food favorites..
In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.
The Asian Pear Mojito is worth the trip alone!!!!. My friend and I love PF Changs. It is the one "chain" restaurant we are always willing to eat at. The Asian Pear Mojito is amazing. And we love the Pin Rice Noodle Soup. It is the perfect combination of comfort with a spice. We also enjoy the Beef a la Sechuan (very spice) and the Sea Bass. Waitstaff is questionable, but the food is worth the weight. We eat there as often as possible.
Wonderful ambience, good food. We went to the downtown resturant. It was luv at first sight...becoz of the ambience.Inspite of the crowded bar the restutant was romantic on one hand and comfortable for a large group on the other. The hostess was really sweet and offered to help us with the menu becoz we are new to the city. We had soup which i liked, the main courses were served with healthy brown rice on the side,(they also have white rice),The seafood was great, but the chicken dish was on the sweeter side. We love somewhat hot & spicy food, so it was on the milder side for us. anyways it was a wonderful experience, mainly becoz we luved the atmostphere.
Service with an attitude. I have dined at P.F. Changs in other cities and have been a fan until my trip to this location. I dined with my wife and daughter at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. We waited for ten minutes until I approached the hostess about our waiter/waitress. The hostess came over, took our drink order and disappeared only to have the bus staff drop our drinks off. We never met our waiter and had our order taken by two seperate people. We were never offered our choice of sauces, as is the custom in the past, ate off of salad plates for our entrees and waited an additional 15 minutes to flag someone down to get our check. In fairness, the food was excellent as always but the service with an attitude made for a disappointing experience
sales manager. Went for a group dinner in the downtown location. They not only sat us out in the mall but the glasses were dirty and the food was very marginal. The beef was overdone and for the amount of money that was spent, I wish I had went elsewhere. I would definately not return nor recommend.
Pretty good for a chain. We like the Chinese food here. It's a step about the take-out places and there are a lot of choices. I like the spicy chicken with eggplant and hot and sour soup while my husband goes for the Kung Pao chicken with a side of black bean sauce. I also like that they give you a choice of brown or white rice, for those of us watching our carbs. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations so if you come at dinnertime on the weekend, forget about it. We usually go to the one downtown at Circle Center mall.
Absolutely Superb!!!. One of the best restaurants in the city! Great atmosphere, excellent food, and wonderful service. Make sure to try the chicken lettuce wrap appetizer - it's out of this world!
