It's hip to dip at this cozy fondue-lover's paradise..
In Short
Booths equipped with tabletop fondue pots are clustered together inside the intimate dining room. Start with a cheese fondue, including an assortment of breads, veggies and fruits for dipping. Entrees include lobster, center-cut filet, fish, chicken and vegetarian selections served with a variety of dipping sauces. For dessert, try the flaming turtle, a mix of chocolate and caramel flambéed tableside, served with nut-covered marshmallows, fresh fruit, pound cake, brownies and cheesecake.
Ehh. The atmosphere was great. We had to wait for a really long time for drinks. The food, except the dessert, wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. I won't be back
Wonderful place for romantic or family atmosphere.. Well the selection was great, I feel like I had so much choice. I like choice. The food was good and the atmosphere was exceptional. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in their old location right next door. The new location is really bland. I did have a wonderful time with my family at the new location though. Great service, great food, recommending to all my friends.
ROMANTIC AND FUN!. I have been here several times for many different reasons...birthdays, friends, dates, etc. Each time our service has been amazing. If you've never tried fondue, the waiters are more than helpful. Get the turtle fondue as dessert. They light it at your table! I've never left hungry. The ONLY bad thing is that it's definitely not kid-friendly. So leave the kids with the sitter and have a special night out!
Amazing!!!. My fiance takes me out to dinner at the Melting Pot every year for my birthday. We'd go once a month if we could. They have the most romatic atmosphere. It is impossible not feel giddy when there (and I am not the giddy type). The service is excellent. The people are just so friendly. The wine is excellent as well. The bartender picks out a special wine to feature each month, and he has impeccable taste. Hint to the gentleman: You can request roses to be placed on the table ahead of time. The will be the longest lasting roses your date has ever received, and the price isn't as much as you'd expect. Make sure to reserve well ahead of time, as their repuation preceds them. It's complete worth every dime that you will spend. The service, the ambience, the experience, the fun, the romance...there is no better.
Delightfully Different. We had a wonderful experience at The Melting Pot. It was our first time there, and we were first time fondue-ers, and our waiter answered any questions we had. It was nice to have our own cozy booth. We ordered one of the 3-course fondue menus and were absolutely stuffed! We will be returning to try one of their amazing-sounding dessert fondues. The meal took about 2 hours, so plan to do this as your evening event- this can't be crammed in with something else. Would also be great with another couple. Lots of time for good visiting.
Worst ever. This was the worst dinner ever, over priced and under fed is how I felt. Dont go there ever. Waste of you hard earned money and time.
To say it was good would be a sad understatement. Would recomend this restaurant to anybody who likes food. This quickly and easily was put at the top of me and my girlfriends favorite restaurants. The service was spectacular, the ambience was very, very romantic, and the food was out of this world. Whatever you do, get dessert, it makes any other dessert you've had seem like just another cheap desssert.
Great, Different Night Out. First thing you have to understand before you read this, my fiance and I are notorious for getting the worst service possible. So, that said, you can imagine how thrilled we are to get not good, but great service at super cute Melting Pot in Indy. The servers were informed about everything from the food to the wine, and always friendly and helpful and quick. I noticed someone complained about in here about the restaurant being empty or something... but come on, it's fondue, the restaurant might look empty but they were probably expecting throws of people with reservations (as it does take about 2.5 hrs to eat there). Food was good, definitely get the deserts!
Great atmosphere!. I like the Melting Pot because each booth has high backs so you can't see the other tables. The lighting is also low so it's a perfect romantic spot. There are also larger tables with more than one fondue pot so it can also be fun for a girls' night out. I like the traditional cheese fondue (gruyere, etc) and the white chocolate/amaretto fondue dessert. There are also a lot of choices when it comes to what you dip in the fondue, which is a plus.
