The Stage
Boxing matches. Trade shows. Rock concerts. The County Fair. Whatever the occasion, this transformable venue hosts it all. Spread-out events (like antique shows) are simply conducted on the floor. For Pearl Jam concerts and boxing matches, though, a sea of chairs surrounds an elevated stage.
The Rink
In October, the city's professional hockey team, Indianapolis Ice, starts its season. But you don't have to be a member of the Central Hockey League to give the rink a whirl. From October to March, the coliseum opens its enormous skating rink to the public. Rent some skates at the skate shop and fulfill your every Wayne Gretzky/Dorothy Hammel dream.
